COFFEE makers, blenders, mixers and even ice cream machines are just some of the Christmas gifts students are enjoying on their return to college this term.

The generous donation from kitchen appliance supplier Kenwood Delonghi means students at South Downs College in Waterlooville have updated equipment to tackle the most complex meals.

Gerry Shurman, head of catering, said: ‘We are fortunate to have one of the world’s top producers on our doorstep.’

Mark Swift, Kenwood’s director of marketing, added: ‘South Downs College gives Kenwood the opportunity to support young people looking for a future in food with the best equipment available for preparing food whilst being trained within a great environment.’
