PARK Community School was recently at the centre of a row over what parents saw as its ‘heavy-handed’ policy on hairstyles.
Some children have been banned from lessons for what the school deems extreme hairstyles, including girls’ colour changes and boys’ spiked hair.
In a governors’ meeting it was agreed that some changes will be made to the uniform policy but will not be revealed until the end of term.
Headteacher Chris Anders said: ‘The governors met on Wednesday and discussed school uniform policy, which had been part of the agenda anyway.
‘As a result there will be some exemplifications of what is and what is not acceptable.’
