STORMTROOPERS from Star Wars will be landing in Horndean – as part of the fun and frolics of a village fete.

People will be able to have their picture taken with a fancy dress stormtrooper at the summer fun day at Horndean Junior School, in Five Heads Road.

For those feeling energetic, there will be a bouncy castle, slides and an assault course, as well as go-karting for all the family.

There will be a variety of stalls, a raffle and tombola.

No-one will go hungry at the fete either as there will be burgers, sweets, ice-cream, candy floss and even a Pimms tent.

The fun takes place between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday, June 30.

The event is being organised by Horndean Junior School PTA.

Rowenne Lloyd, from the PTA, said: ‘It promises to be a fantastic afternoon.

‘Come along for a lovely family day out or get a bunch of friends together and come as a big group including all your parents, siblings, children.

‘There will be something fun for every age group.’

The fete is free for all children of 15 years and under.

Entry is 50p for adults.
