THE final day of Portsmouth Schools Music Festival finished spectacularly.

Thousands of children have performed together on the stage at the Guildhall over the past week, with many working with teachers and pupils from other schools, combining their talents.

On Friday the infant school choir saw youngsters from Portsmouth High School and Westover Primary School take to the stage. Sarah Lewis, one of the organisers, said: ‘The children were absolutely amazing.

‘It was a lovely way to end the festival.

‘It was a packed programme from start to finish.

‘The last performance was from the combined junior schools choir and they sang Skyfall along with lighting effects which worked to spectacular effect. The children got so much out of it.’
