AN INDEPENDENT Southsea school for girls is appealing for alumnae and former staff to come forward for a Diamond Jubilee celebratory reunion.

Portsmouth High School hopes the part on May 5 will give school members a chance to reconnect with old friends and mark important events in the school’s 130-year history.

Headmistress Jane Prescott said: ‘We are looking forward to inviting so many alumnae and staff back to the school.

‘It is also an opportunity to come together and celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

‘Why not come along and join our celebrations and meet our very own Diamond Jubilee school leavers?’

The event which costs £15 per head and includes light lunch and refreshments is strictly RSVP by returning a reply card and payment to the school by April 6.

This card can be downloaded from the school website at portsmouthhigh.co.uk.
