BUDDING musicians can learn how to become rock stars.

West Sussex County Council’s music service is offering courses with expert tutors beginning in September.

The ten-week sessions are for vocalists, drummers, guitarists and keyboard players aged under 18, who learn by forming their own rock bands.

The number of children and adults learning with the music service has steadily grown during the last three years. It now tutors more than 15,000 people each week in choirs, orchestras and rock workshops.

The deadline for the rock workshops – which cost £52 for ten sessions – is September 17.
