ACROSS the Havant and Waterlooville area, many schools saw little change from last year.

Horndean Technology College saw just a one per cent drop down to 59 per cent for the number of students reaching the ‘gold standard’.

Oaklands Catholic School also saw a two per cent drop down to 72 per cent. Warblington School went from 50 per cent down to 40 per cent, as they had been affected by the GCSE English changes.

But Havant Academy, went from 22 per cent up to 28 per cent.

Headteacher Julie Taylor, said: ‘I think everyone connected with Havant Academy is immensely proud of our school. Our students have worked very hard and they are serious about their learning.’
