AN MP is encouraging schools to teach pupils about money.

Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage wants it to be done in June ahead of the classes becoming part of the national curriculum in September.

My Money Week runs from June 9 to 15 and is run by national financial education charity PFEG – Personal Finance Education Group.

She said: ‘I’m delighted that the government has added financial education.’
