GOSPORT MP Caroline Dinenage will be holding surgeries at St Vincent College to try to get more students interested in politics.

The new appointments, which start on Friday between 12.30pm and 2pm, were initiated by college principal Di Lloyd who says she is delighted to be hosting her local MP.

Ms Lloyd said: ‘I’m not sure if any other local MPs do this but when I suggested it to Caroline she was very keen to set it up.

‘These surgeries aren’t her regular ones – they’re special ones for St Vincent students.

‘The aim is to engage them in the political process and the students are booking 15-minute slots to ask her questions.’
