A NEW woodland play area has been made for the children of Rowner Infant School, Gosport to enjoy.

Foundation staff at the school teamed up with pupils to develop the open spaces which surround the school.

The projects inspiration came from Channel Four’s Amazing Spaces, as the school wants to use these spaces to give its students the best learning facilities it possibly can.

All the materials used on the projects are free or up-cycled to give the pupils a hands-on approach to building a project.

Two years since the project launched, the school has created a mud kitchen and work bench for the students to use, as well as the new woodland play area.

The school also installed an old caravan in the open space, which staff and students decorated and now use during their lunch breaks.
