A nursery school in Hayling Island is celebrating another ‘outstanding’ Ofsted inspection.

Childsplay Nursery School, on St Mary’s Road, has been awarded the highest grading after its recent inspection.

Ofsted inspectors rated the nursery ‘outstanding’ in all areas.

Kulsuma Chowdhury, manager at Childsplay, said: ‘We are all absolutely delighted as we all work very hard to do the very best for our children and families and it is nice to be recognised for that and to share it with all staff, children and families.’

The nursery has been rated outstanding since 2007.

Principal Susan Bailey added: ‘There have been many changes in the curriculum and delivering all aspects of nursery education, so again it’s good to know we are able to keep up to date with progress and are able to deliver to the highest standards.’

In the report, the inspection highlighted the exceptional motivation of the children to participate in an extensive range of activities.
