DIVER Pete Waterfield will be inspiring local students at a special sports day.

The Olympic silver medallist will be in Southsea on Thursday as part of Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week 2013.

Around 900 pupils from Priory School and schools in the local area will take part in a day of sporting activity inspired by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Pete Waterfield will also be sharing his expertise and lending a helping hand on the day.

Nearly three million young people from schools across England and Wales have signed up to take part in National School Sport Week 2013, a unique initiative delivered in partnership with the Youth Sport Trust, which takes place all this week.
