ACTORS will perform one of Shakespeare’s comedies in the open air next month.

At an outdoor theatre in Portsmouth’s Victoria Park, Oddsocks Theatre will perform The Comedy of Errors. It takes place on July 13 at 7.30pm.

Councillor Lee Hunt, cabinet member for culture, leisure and sport at Portsmouth City Council, said: ‘The Comedy of Errors is coming to Victoria Park this summer, for an evening of farcical, feel-good entertainment. It’s a great way to experience Shakespeare for the first time, and spend time with friends and family as you enjoy the performance.

‘This open-air event also adds to our city’s growing reputation as a destination for wide-ranging cultural activity, and is part of our determination to be a great waterfront city.’
