ART-LOVERS are invited to a charity auction of works by professionals and amateurs next week.

The event at Dunannie, the Bedales pre-prep school in Petersfield, will feature a wide variety of artwork including intricate metalwork, photography and paintings.

Contributions from talented parents, pupils and ex-pupils will sit alongside those from local artists – and the majority of money raised from sales will be split between local charity Hounds for Heroes and Big Brother Mouse, a child literacy charity based in Laos, south east Asia.

A small portion of the funds will be given to the school to provide an artist in residence who will come in to work on art projects over the coming year with Dunannie pupils.

The exhibition is open on Thursday, March 22 from 9am until 9pm and on Friday, March 23 from 9am until 6pm.

Access to the hall will be via the Dunannie playground and there are lots of spaces in the school car park.

For more information call the school on 01730 300400.
