PEPPA Pig was the star attraction at a newly-refurbished Drayton nursery that opened its doors to dozens of youngsters and their families.

The event at Little Acorns Nursery, which has just had a fresh lick of paint, new furnishings and a new gate installed, was filled with children having a go on a bouncy castle, eating cupcakes and having their faces painted.

Lynn Jeffery, head nursery nurse, said: ‘It was a fantastic afternoon and youngsters, parents and even grandparents had so much fun.

‘A few of the children who came along to our open day for the first time have now joined us, which is wonderful.’
