Peter said: ‘It’s great that the council is recognising the amazing work young people are doing in their community.

‘Over the last few years, I’ve been given the opportunity to meet a huge number of inspirational people with the things I’ve done.

‘I hope that, by receiving this award, I can become part of the cycle of inspiring young people to get involved in their area.’

As a member of Portsmouth Youth Voice, Peter worked on publicity campaigns and organised a Meet Your Council event where school children took over council chambers to put questions to the leaders of local political parties.
