CHILDREN at a nursery school are now enjoying bright, airy new facilities thanks to a major extension.

More than double the amount of children can join the nursery at Highbury Primary School following the building work that was carried out over the summer.

Rebecca Frost, the nursery leader at the school in Dovercourt Road, Cosham, said: ‘The children love it here.

‘Every single classroom has a door which leads outside to what we call the outside classroom.

‘We decided to go ahead with the new building because the school has expanded to a two-form school.’

The Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor Steven Wylie, opened the building.
