Pupils support poor children around world

Portsmouth school launches postcard art project

Have your say

CHILDREN from schools across Southsea have been packing shoe boxes full of gifts to send to children around the world.

Members of Southsea Castle Rotary club have been filling boxes as part of the Rotary Christmas Shoebox appeal.

Gifts include pens, pencils, notebooks, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap and flannels.

The gifts came from children at St James’ Primary School in Emsworth, College Park Infant School, and Brambles and Goldsmith Infant School in Southsea.

They will be shopped out to countries such as Albania, Moldavia, Montenegro and, possibly, the Philippines.
