A FORMER headteacher of two city schools has died following a long-fought battle with cancer.

Sid Parker, of White Ladies Close in Havant, died on Saturday morning.

He was a headteacher for about 20 years at Northgate School in Copnor and St Jude’s School in Old Portsmouth, before retiring in 1984.

Mr Parker’s wife Rosemary died in 2005. He leaves two children, Andrew Parker and Annabelle Jackman.
