MORE than 1,000 young people have taken part in a road safety programme in the past year.

The Hampshire County Council scheme has seen teams visit schools to teach students about issues including safer cycling and the impact of alcohol on driving.

Councillor Sean Woodward said: ‘Our programmes are designed to instil a lifelong sense of responsibility on the roads.’
