PAST pupils are being encouraged to attend the 40th anniversary celebrations of Cowplain Community Pre-School next month.

It opened in 1975 and is marking the occasion with a special event on Saturday, June 6.

The Mayor of Havant will open the event at the Hart Plain Avenue venue at 10am and the celebrations will go on until midday.

There will be a bouncy castle and various stalls, including face painting, nail art, biscuit decorating, and tombola tables.

Raffle prizes on offer include a family ticket for Longdown Dairy Farm, a car MOT and service from Smile, swim vouchers for Horizon, a family ticket for Standsted House and afternoon tea at Langstone Hotel.

Former pupils and anyone from the community are invited to attend.
