A MUSICAL extravaganza on the theme of the sea will be performed by hundreds of schoolchildren at the Portsmouth Guildhall.

Children are working with professional artists for Seascape which will include music from The Band of The Royal Logistic Corps as well as newly-commissioned pieces, clog dancing and world music at 7pm on March 14.

Sue Beckett, head of Portsmouth Music Service, said: ‘This diverse musical celebration of the sea will provide audience members with a nautical feast that will send them home with their toes tapping and a song in their hearts.’

Schools taking part are Goldsmith and College Park infants, Newbridge, Stamshaw, Craneswater and Langstone juniors, Milton Park, St John’s Cathedral Catholic, Westover, Medina, Cottage Grove and Highbury primaries and St Edmund’s Catholic School.

Tickets are available at the Guildhall at £6 for adults and £5 for concessions.
