SCHOOLCHILDREN delighted their parents with sounds of the Indonesian gamelan at a concert.

Year fives from Wickham CoE Primary had been receiving specialist tuition on the gamelan, which includes gongs and tuned metal instruments.

Headteacher Maria Ackland said: ‘The gamelan is a really impressive collection of instruments.

‘It looks spectacular, sounds fantastic and more importantly, our children have all enjoyed performing to a high standard.’
