Student attends reception at Parliament

A STUDENT from Highbury College visited the Houses of Parliament for a special reception ahead of an international competition in Budapest.

Lewis Newton, along with the UK’s other best young apprentices and students, will represent the nation in webskills design at the ‘World Skills’ event.

Minister of State for Apprenticeships and Skills, Anne Milton, said: ‘You are the future, you are representing the country and doing us proud.’

Members of the team have all spent a minimum of two years in intensive training winning regional and national competitions before undergoing an extensive selection process.
