SCHOOLCHILDREN told future generations all about their lives when they buried a time capsule in the grounds of the landmark new Somers Town Central building in Portsmouth.

Pupils from Cottage Grove Primary School, in Chivers Close, and Ark Ayrton Primary Academy, in Somers Road North, wrote stories, drew pictures, researched history projects, made videos of their schools and recordings of their choirs.

Their efforts were buried underneath a bench in the landscaped area outside the south entrance of the iconic building spanning Winston Churchill Avenue.

The new Somers Town Central structure will include new community, youth and health centres as well as an area housing office in a building spanning a dual carriageway.
