Students picked up an array of awards at Fareham College’s annual ceremony.

Hampshire County Council’s education boss Peter Edgar watched youngsters be rewarded for their efforts over the year.

Students in the fast lane showcased their talents and picked up accolades for outstanding achievement, personal endeavour, contribution to the reputation of the college and student of the year.

Cllr Edgar said: ‘It was an outstanding occasion and demonstrated Fareham College’s commitment to inclusive, practical and vocational education.

‘As a former teacher, I realise the importance of occasions like this that recognise young people when they have achieved remarkable success.

‘Seeing the racing car that college students had made even before the evening had started demonstrated to me the quality of the spectacular evening to come.

‘The county council is a great supporter of vocational training and proud that we are one of the funding partners.’
