SCHOOL pupils have been inspired to put together a mile of pennies to help terminally-ill children.
The penny-wise youngsters at Miltoncross Academy, in Milton Road, Portsmouth, have been constructing the Penny Mile from coins they have been out and about collecting during their break times.
Earlier this year, year 10 and 11 students received a visit from ambassadors for the Naomi House Children’s Hospice, which is near Winchester.
Pauline Bailey and Steve Bailey explained to the whole school, through house assemblies, about the vital work of the charity which provides respite care to seriously ill children and their families.
