STUDENTS at Bridgemary Community Sports College in Gosport have reduced their carbon footprint with the planting of 100 new trees.

The youngsters worked with Groundwork Solent, who donated the trees that are now in the school’s copse area.

Reinhard Rosenbrock, the school’s facilities manager, said: ‘It’s a fantastic investment of time and effort from the students, which will enhance the environment and help us make a good “carbon” difference.’

Joanne Fraser, youth worker with Groundwork Solent, added: ‘It is fantastic to see the enthusiasm of the students.’
