A DOCTOR from The University of Portsmouth is set to visit China to discuss reducing energy use.

Dr Jiye Chen is visiting the country as part of an EU-funded trip to share research expertise with Chinese businesses.

He will be advising on the manufacture of composite materials and building components for developing a low carbon construction industry in China.

The aim is to speed up green industries by reducing energy usage and CO2 emission.
