A SOCIAL anthropologist from the University of Portsmouth has won funding to analyse media coverage of rape cases in India.

It comes in the aftermath of the brutal gang rape and murder of a woman on a bus in Delhi.

Dr Tamsin Bradley is from the School of Languages and Area Studies.

She will conduct the research in partnership with Professor Obaid Siddiqui from the Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi.
