EUROPEAN experts gathered at a University of Portsmouth conference to discuss key areas of EU policy and funding.
More than 60 people attended the conference to discuss the European Union and how it should respond to various challenges such as climate change.
Keynote speakers included former MEP Sharon Bowles, who chaired the European Parliament’s Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee, and councillor Harvey Siggs, from Somerset County Council.
The university’s director of research, Tara Dean, said: ‘It is wonderful to see delegates who represent many sectors.
‘It is important to link research and innovation with regional development.’
