Have your say

YOUNG writers are being sought to develop skills as playwrights.

New Writing South and Chichester Festival Theatre have teamed up for a fifth year to run Chichester Young Playwrights.

Writers are now needed for the 2013/14 scheme. Youngsters aged between 16 and 25 will be selected to help develop their knowledge and skills as playwrights.

The course will run on fortnightly Saturdays for 10 sessions between autumn and winter 2013/2014 from 11am to 1pm. It is a subsidised programme and the fee is £60 for successful applicants.

To apply, please send in two A4 sides of creative writing on a subject of your choice along with a short extract as to why you would like to take part.

Send it to Debo Amon, Creative Learning Assistant, New Writing South, 9 Jew Street, Brighton, East Sussex, BN1 1UT or email by 5pm on Monday, September 9.

A selection workshop will take place on Saturday, September 21 between 2pm and 4pm at Chichester Festival Theatre.
