A SCHOOL built on a rabbit warren is living up to its name – after adding two black bunnies to its head count.
The fluffy creatures are delighting youngsters at Warren Park Primary in Leigh Park where they have settled down in a lovely big warm pen next to the outdoor classroom.
Boys and girls at the school will be responsible for cleaning out the rabbits’ home as well as keeping them entertained and well fed.
And today, two names out of dozens proposed by pupils will be drawn out of a hat.
Teaching assistant Lorraine Byng said: ‘When the bunnies arrived on Monday the children were so excited.
‘Pupils get cute toy rabbits as a reward for good work but now they’ll be able to play with the real thing.
‘The rabbits are very cute and we’re looking forward to seeing what their names will be.’
