Have your say

THE organiser of a festival in Gosport has moved to stop any confusion over whether or not his event is cancelled.

Paul Cobb is running GosFest at Walpole Park next month but a similarly-named event has been cancelled.

Mr Cobb said: ‘There’s been a bit on social media. Someone will see one of our posters and comment on it and say “we thought it was cancelled”. It’s created a lot of confusion. We’ve done enough marketing and advertising (to end the confusion).’

Mr Cobb even hired a plane and pilot to fly over Gosport with a banner saying ‘Lookin 4 a festival? Try GosFest.’

It runs from August 7 to August 10, with bands, market stalls and activities for children. A four-day pass is available for £10 for adults and £5 for children and must be bought in advance.
