The University of Portsmouth will celebrate International Women’s Day this week with a series of talks and film screenings.

There will be a free lecture tomorrow at 5.15pm by Southampton University history lecturer Dr Eve Colpus on female philanthropy and the inter-war world in 20th century Britain.

It will be in the Dennis Sciama building, Room 2.14. It is open to all, with no booking necessary.

On Thursday there is a free screening of the film Suffragette and a talk by Professor June Purvis. The talk begins at 6.30pm at Eldon Screening Theatre, with the film being shown at 7pm. Reserve your place at Eventbrite.

Make More Noise is being shown at Eldon Screening Theatre on Thursday, March 31 at 7pm for £6.
