Portsmouth university team to study affects of Hurricane Maria

FIVE entrepreneurial schoolgirls have scooped first prize in a prestigious business challenge run by Pompey legend Linvoy Primus.

The team from Portchester Community School beat 20 groups to claim victory at the sixth annual Faith and Football Social Enterprise and Business Challenge.

The girls were up against teams selling hand made soap, recycling CDs, DVDs and computer games.

But it was their £9.99 book ‘Little Authors’ packed with 50 stories and illustrations by local primary schoolchildren that won over judges – and rewarded them with a two week trip to Goa in south-west India to visit orphanages, old people’s homes and schools.
