MORE than 200 children, teachers, parents and school governors will take part in a cookathon.

Admiral Lord Nelson School will host the national Children’s Food Trust BIG Cookathon 2015 which takes place on Monday, March 9.

Amateur chefs will cook a healthy speedy biryani, created by The Children’s Food Trust.

They will be joining thousands of people in schools, clubs, workplaces and families who will be cooking a healthy curry from scratch.

The annual BIG Cookathon, now in its seventh year, is the biggest mass cooking event in the country.

This year’s competition is supported by Ben’s Beginners, which aims to get more children cooking with their families, and the Big Lottery Fund.
