A VEHICLE was left almost unrecognisable after it was written off in a fire yesterday.

Firefighters from Cosham Fire Station were called to a burned out car in Oxenbourne Lane in Petersfield on Saturday afternoon, following an electrical fault.

Nobody was injured in the blaze but the car was completely written off.

A spokesman from Cosham Fire Station said: ‘The car was pretty burned out when we arrived.

‘There were two appliances – one from us and one from Horndean.

‘The car was totally destroyed, you could barely even make out what car it was.’
