An emergency incident is causing delays on trains in Hampshire this afternoon.
The lines between Bournemouth and Southampton Central were closed today (November 23) but have since reopened following the incident but disruption is expected until 6pm.
South Western Railway (SWR) are warning customers to expect delays on the line.
A statement on the franchise website reads: ‘A specialist police unit was required to carry out an investigation before the line could be reopened, this has now been completed and normal working will be resumed.
‘As the line was blocked for several hours residual delays are to be expected until early afternoon, we may need to make service interventions to manage the disruption.
