Emergency services are being lined up for a celebratory day in a town centre.

The 999 day will return to Fareham town centre this weekend and will see exhibitions from the ambulance service, police, fire service and the coastguard, among others.

Fareham’s pedestrian shopping area will be full of operational, new and preserved ambulances, police cars, fire engines, coastguard and offshore rescue boats – more than 30 exhibitors in all.

Visitors will be able to view and explore all the vehicles, and even have the chance to climb on board and sit in the driving seat.

Confirmed exhibitors also include Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, British Red Cross and St John Ambulance.

The show will take place in West Street on Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

There will be musical performances from band Swinging the Lead and The Sensational Debbie C.
