Energy firm offers grants to Portsmouth charities

CHARITIES are being invited to apply for grants by E.On.

The energy firm is inviting Portsmouth charities and community groups to apply for up to £2,000 of funding through its Energy Action Fund.

To be eligible for funding, organisations must put forward ideas to support activities that help reduce their own energy use, help generate energy from a renewable source or provide energy efficiency advice for their community.

Suzanne Doxey, community relations manager, said: ‘I’m pleased to be announcing a fresh round of our Energy Action Fund.

‘When judging previous applications, it’s been heartening to come across so many groups with a keen interest in energy, matched by an enthusiasm for sharing the benefits of the projects they’re proposing with the wider community.’

The deadline to apply is Friday, April 8.
