HIGHBURY College has again become the only college in the area to receive a stamp of approval from two leading engineering groups.

The Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Institution of Mechanical Engineering have both re-accredited the college to run apprenticeships for a further three years.

Highbury is able to provide its students with state-of-the-art equipment to help them gain vital hands-on experience in motor engineering, setting them up for careers in the industry.

Head of automotive at the college Martin Porter said: ‘This reinforces that everything we do meets or exceeds industry standards.’

More than 60 young engineering students have already gained accreditation.
