Entrepreneur Sara Pollard is looking for entries to the Great Gluten-Free Bake Off in Fareham later this month

It’s official – The Great Gluten-Free Bake Off is back on Friday, October 23 in Fareham town centre and it’s bigger and better than ever before!

There are three categories this time – cupcakes, sponge cake and themed cake. A winner will be chosen for each category and a prize given.

An overall winner will also be chosen out of the final three to be crowned the Great Gluten-Free Bake Off winner and will receive a framed certificate and flowers. So what are you waiting for?

All proceeds raised on the day are going straight to Tommy’s, a charity that funds medical research into the causes of miscarriage and fights hard to save babies lives. It also researches causes into premature babies and stillbirth.

If you would like to enter your gluten-free cake, simply email me at freefromtemptationltd@gmail.com for an application form. All forms need to be completed by October 20 to ensure your place.

Any late entries may not be counted. All cakes are to be delivered to my home address the night before the event, or brought to the stall by 9am on October 23. Again, late entries can still be sold on to help raise money for the charity but not entered in the competition.

The judging will take place between 10am-midday by the award-winning cake makers Niki Tomkinson, Oliver Dakin and myself Sara Pollard, as well as our amazing guest judge Gary Parker from Wave 105.

This event is contribution only. All items sold on the day will be available on a pay “what you feel” basis. There will be tea and coffee available, as well as all the cake in the competition to buy.

Meaning penny or a pound, the whole community can come together and make Fareham proud.

You’ll find us outside Barclays Bank under the performance podium on West Street 8am till 4pm, central Fareham.

If you would like to come and support us in other ways please get in touch.

We are able to house street dancers, face painters, kids party mascots, singers and other street entertainers under the podium as long as they are willing to give their services for charity.

So please contact me if you want to help that way too or see a copy of our street collection permit.
