Evelyn's good deeds are a cut above

A BIG-HEARTED girl has had her hair cut off and raised more than £1,500 for children's charities.

Little Evelyn Adams, from Whiteley, had her long pony tails lopped off at an assembly at St Anthony’s School, Fareham, which she attends.

The hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust and the money will go to the Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service, which is building a children’s hospice in Berkshire.

Evelyn said: ‘About four months ago I decided I wanted to do something for someone else. I have been growing my hair since I was three and I can now almost sit on it. I am hoping my hair will be used to make a wig for a child who has lost their hair but I am also hoping to raise funds for this fantastic charity.’

Evelyn raised the money by collecting at school, church and from friends and family.
