A CONSERVATION expert at Fort Nelson and an aquarist at the Blue Reef will be among the guests at a careers week.

The event at the Spinnaker Tower is on until Friday and aims to celebrate a diverse range of careers.

Guest speakers hope to inform youngsters of their chosen careers and inspire the next generation to think about their futures.

There will also be interactive workshops, activities, question and answer sessions and stalls to help provide young people with the information they need to make a decision.

Children dressed as what they want to be when they are older will get into the viewing tower for free.

Sarah Webb, general manager at the Spinnaker Tower, said: ‘It will be fascinating to hear from people who work in such a variety of different work environments.

‘The mentors will offer a different perspective and show children the quirkier career options that they might not have thought about before.’

The Careers Week is part of the tower’s summer event, Aim High, which challenges visitors to a series of weekly special competitions.

It is open daily from 10am to 6pm. For more information see spinnakertower.co.uk
