Volunteers from Gosport Rotary Club have once again pulled out all the stops to make the Gosport Sleigh Run a magical experience for children across the town.

It begins on Saturday and will take in as many roads as possible over the following two weeks.

For those wanting to track Father Christmas’ progress, information will be available on GPS through a dedicated telephone line.

Colin Davey, from Gosport Rotary, said: ‘It is such a magical experience for the children. We pull up in the road and the children can get on the sleigh, have a chat with Father Christmas and we give them some sweets.

‘Our biggest problem is that it’s so popular. We have children queuing up so it takes us a while to get round.

‘That’s why this year we are embracing technology and parents can track the sleigh using GPS. All they have to do is call our number and they will receive a text back with the GPS link.’
