Exhibition celebrates life of Emsworth quilt artist
Emsworth Community Centre in North Street was full of quilts created by the late Maureen Thomas with more than 50 pieces on show.
The exhibition followed a short service for the 74-year-old who died on December 23 last year.

Ann Bartlett said: ‘It was a very successful day with lots of people coming to see Maureen’s work.
‘We are happy with how it went. Former students of Maureen’s from across the south came along and it was interesting meeting them all.’
As previously reported in The News, Maureen had been quilting for more than 40 years. She died after going missing overboard on a cruise from New York.
