AROUND 30 fire-fighters have created an ‘exclusion zone’ around a farm next to the M27.
The crews, including a group of four from Cosham, have been at the farm, at Upper Northam Drive, Hedge End, close to junction seven of the motorway, since a fire broke out at 7.35pm.
They have set up an exclusion zone around the site, in order to safeguard several high-pressure gas canisters.
Although Upper Northam Drive is closed, the M27 is unaffected by the exclusion zone.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service estimates the restrictions to traffic could be in place until this evening.
