A HOTEL was evacuated after someone accidentally set off the fire alarm.

Fareham firefighters went to Holiday Inn in Cartwright Drive, Titchfield, because they thought there was a blaze.

All the guests were waiting outside when the crews arrived just after 11.10pm on Saturday.

Watch manager Simon Whelan said: ‘One of the “break glass viewpoints” had been broken which set the alarm off in the hotel and everyone was evacuated.

‘It was an accident and there was no fire.’
