Inspector Marcus Cator said: 'Portsmouth police are supporting partners at this event as we are keen to show communities that working together and supporting each other reduces fear of crime.

'Peace within our communities can only improve confidence to say '˜no' to those who wish to show aggression and target people for gain.'

There will be a bouncy castle, interactive arts projects, henna tattoos, face painting, peace-themed games and balloon modelling.

The fire service's Jasper Taylor said: '˜We are looking forward to welcoming and meeting all our communities at this very special event.'

The station is in Somers Road.
